Grade 5 students learned about strategies that create a feeling of depth and space landscape genre. Student art featured original landscape form ideas with student's choice of silhouette landscape elements such as tress, animals, mountains or buildings. The students learned several drawing and watercolor techniques to achieve the effects of star-filled skies, such as wet-on-wet, salting, and wax resist.
