Grade 5 students learned about strategies that create a feeling of depth and space landscape genre. Student art features original landscape form ideas with student's choice of landscape elements such as trees, animals, mountains or buildings in silhouette style. The students then experimented with several watercolor techniques to achieve the effects of star-filled skies, such as wet-on-wet, salting, and resist. We think these galaxy paintings are out of this world!
