Gr. 8 students explored black-and-white art materials and shading techniques, and learned about the style of filmmaker and artist Tim Burton's unique characters and bizarre creations. Students each chose a person (real life or imaginary) on which to base a stylized portrait of their own, and completed it with their choice of black and white materials to enhance shadows and highlights.
