Kindergarten students learned about the art of Jim Dine who is known for matings, sculptures and drawings based on hearts. To create our Dine-inspired projects, first we folded our paper into 4 squares so that we could organize our designs and create repetition. Then we practiced drawing heart shapes in pencil and marker. Finally, we invented patterns to fill the hearts using oil pastels.
