6th grade students studied Medieval era art and architecture, focusing on the tradition of gargoyles: part sculpture, part gutter system of the Middle Ages. Our gargoyles were first designed as sketches based on mystical creatures or combinations of animals, then sculpted by hand from Model Magic clay.
