Students learned about Egyptian culture, art forms, and hieroglyphics. A cartouche is a symbol seen throughout murals and on jewelry and artifacts from ancient Egypt. It contains a person's name in hieroglyphics. We made ours using gold scratch board and etching techniques.

Exercising your creative muscles is important! Artists can practice forming ideas and thinking "outside of the box" with drawing or idea prompts... imagine how great you can be if you practice this every day!! Students in grades 3 & 4 were challenged to think creatively and even imagine the impossible in this Creativity Challenge.

K-2 Incredible Insects
It's spring and nature brings us lots of great things at this time of year, like flowers and sunshine and bugs. BUGS??? Yes, bugs!! Insects are not only important to the environment, but they are also pretty amazing to look at, even beautiful. Grade K-2 learned about the amazing world of insects, then created an art work showing an bug of their own creation. Enjoy our "incredible insects"!!
