Indian Vahana Masks

Student teacher Ms. Wiltshire created and led this grade 7 lesson inspired by the symbolism found in the tradition Indian vahanas, or vehicles of the gods. Students chose 2 animals that represented their own or someone important to them's personality and combined them into one creature in a sketch. Students then built the masks using paper macho, acrylic paint, and textural elements.
