The F.M.S. 2015-16 Art Anthology is a "Who's Who" of F.M.S. student artists from our Grade 7 & 8 Art Club.
These students created their own biography pages and chose art that expresses who they are as artists today. Here are the art works featured in the book.

Special thanks to the Acushnet Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council for funding the publishing of this book through a 2016 Local Cultural Council Grant.

Students names, art, and images are published and posted with parent/guardian permission.

2016 Shadows and Light

An exhibit of work by 2015-16 Gr. 5 & 6 Art Club

This year, Grade 5 & 6 Art Club created art works based on silhouette-style images. Using acrylic paint on canvas, students chose cool or warm colors for the backgrounds and individual ideas for their main images and themes.

Art on Center in Fairhaven hosted the "Shadows and Light" exhibit's public opening reception on April, 2016. There was a fantastic turn out, including F.M.S. staff, families and friends of our members, and the general public. Special thanks to Art on Center director Stacey Frates and the AOC staff for making this exhibit possible.

The full exhibit was displayed again at the FMS Festival of the Arts in May 2016.
